Chissà se qualcuno riuscirà a superare JustFontaine, l’attaccante francese che in Svezia nel 1958 riuscì a segnare 13reti in sole sei partite: ancora oggi detiene il primato di maggior gol segnati in una singola edizione dei Mondiali.
Intanto con la tripletta all’esordio contro l’Algeria e la doppietta segnata contro l’Austria, Messi ha superato MiroslavKlose a quota 16 gol e con le sue 18 reti è diventato il miglior marcatore della storia in Coppa del Mondo. Mbappé ha distrutto il Senegal con una doppietta e ha fatto lo stesso anche contro l’Iraq: ora è distante due reti dall’argentino nella classifica di miglior marcatore all-time. Chiaramente il francese avrà molto più tempo di Messi per superarlo per una questione anagrafica.
